Services
Custody of Local Market Securities
We undertake to custodise domestic securities both equities and fixed income lodged both at the Central Securities Depository and the Bank of Greece.
Institutional Fund Services
HSBC Securities Services provides Institutional Fund Services to Mutual Fund Management and Portfolio Management Companies. Services include monitoring of their units and portfolios at an end beneficiary level and checking aspects of the Net Asset Valuation. Participations and redemptions are undertaken on behalf of the end clients.
Adherence towards market authorities, such as the Hellenic Capital Market Commission decisions is ensured, while local market rules and regulations are scrutinized and adhered to at all times. Fund services towards Portfolio Management Companies constitute on clearing of all investment products transactions, support of corporate transactions and collection of fund fees.
Custody Services of Foreign Market Securities
HSBC undertakes the custody and clearing of foreign securities, mainly through the HSBC network. HSBC's strength of offering a trading facility worldwide, complements the Securities Services operation with the competitive advantage of trading - where this is required - in most parts of the world.
Clearing of Transactions
Via a sophisticated system infrastructure, HSBC Securities Services undertake the clearing and settlement of transactions both in the Greek and foreign markets in an efficient and secured way. This includes actual settlement and clearing of transactions, as well as daily reconciliations with all depositories involved, both locally and abroad.
Monitoring and Processing of Corporate Actions
All local and foreign market corporate actions are offered to include share capital increases through rights issue, bonus issue, mergers, tender offers, dividend reinvestment plans, etc. A high degree of system scalability ensures flexibility in different types of SWIFT messages deployed and sub or master account reporting, according to client requirements.
Proxy Voting
Monitoring, notification and conduct of all necessary arrangements is assumed to ensure participation and representation on your behalf in necessary company General Meetings. Proxy voting services are provided through HSBC's representatives, who physically attend Assemblies in all parts of Greece.
Dividends/Interest coupons collection
A full dividend/interest collection facility is offered, including monitoring, notification and actual collection of dividends/capital returns and interest coupons (fixed income) in your favor. An automatic credit of your cash accounts follows.
Tax Reclaims
We offer processing of tax reclaims on your behalf for all instruments taxed and can then be reclaimed, based either on a Double Taxation Treaty arrangement or on the grounds of a foreign client capacity.
Payments & Cash Management
A full cash management facility is offered, including cash forecasts and same day cash management. All payment transfers relating to custodial activity are assumed, while a skeleton crew is maintained during local holidays when TARGET payment system is operable, to execute your fund obligations and needs.
