Card transactions update

For your safety and convenience, as of Monday 30th March 2020 you will be able to perform transactions of up to 50 euros via contactless, without entering your card’s PIN at the point of sale.

This is an increase from the previous contactless limit of 25 euros per transaction, and is designed to minimise the amount of physical contact you have to make with shared surfaces while using vital retail services such as pharmacies, supermarkets and gas stations.

These measures will last until Sunday 31 May 2020, and are applicable to all debit and credit cards issued by HSBC. If you require a new debit card, please visit your local branch.
